Playful Spaces

I think I've always been interested in how a space can affect our experience and way we take in information. If it is within an altered or extraordinary space, it can be a positive and interesting way to learn.

The difficulty with this can be that only play, not learning can take place, however, in some of these spaces (such as the Water Vole Hole with Global Impacts) just experiencing something can be a learning point.

This is an area where collaborations between fields could have such wonderful outcomes. Artists may not necessarily have expert knowledge in fields that need to be shared within a public learning environment. But through learning with scientists, historians, sociologists ideas, even abstract ones, could be visually represented in a way that could also be a playful space.

Below are some of these spaces, places and ideas that I have visited or researched.
