Here are a list of places that appear to have a good idea about what is needed for dementia care...

"We have been working with Dementia Care Matters over the last two years on the 'Butterfly Project', designed to make the interior of our homes a more stimulating and interactive environment.
The Butterfly Project has involved getting rid of uniforms for staff, to avoid an institutional feel, and building installations such as an old-fashioned sweetshop and nostagic pub inside Humphry Repton House."
I am interested in the idea of changing little things like no uniforms to create less clinical settings. I am constantly hearing residents calling for 'nurse!' - they mustn't feel at home.
