So, as I was saying (in Vinyl Cutters) - I was thinking of creating large duplicated images perhaps with vinyl.
This handy looking machine caught my attention...
Basically, it is similar to a printer - but without the ink head, there is a cutting tool. It is like a vinyl cutter designed for the domestic - perhaps more widely for the scrapbooking market.
There is the slightly more affordable (£170) Silhouette Portrait as well that is 8" accross as opposed to the cameo's 12":

As I read more about it's feature, it seems more and more interesting with what possibilitiies there might be to use it...
Stencils, Templates, Duplicating shapes cut in card, paper, plastic, vinyl etc. You can even use it to cut fabric.
I know after creating my own stencil for a piece how hard work it can be! If this could be done on the computer then it could cut things out - well, that would be amazing. And details would be perfect representations, rather than my drawings of them not being accurate.
You can also use sketch pens - so it turns into a line drawing machine too..

These are quite crafty/scrapbooking techniques, but I think it shows the sorts of things that could be done with the machine...
