I'm torn between which shape of gazebo I would like.
I think for size, the square gazebo is good, but the Hexagon gazebos have a real visual sense of occasion and 'different'. But, as I finding out, there are not really any on the market that are suitable...

Nice, but too big and expensive!

£329.99
Could perhaps afford it, but not pop-up. I do like the versatility of the sides as curtains though.

£189.99
I really like this idea, but I'm worried that this could be too big for some homes and impact on the display of the tent. The sides just tie on too, which doesn't look quick - would have to add some velcro or something to make it easier.
I think this may be the same one: Robert Dyas - http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/P~155636~Deluxe-Aluminium-Hexagonal-Pop-Up-Gazebo-Diameter-3.6m
£69.99
This seems to be the most easily available pop-up hexagonal gazebo available. It comes in lots of colours, including white or beige
Again, I am worried about the size of such a tent - plus I'm not sure a 3.5m tent would fit in my studio space without moving furniture either during construction.

£499
I like this pretty space and tent's design.
The guide ropes, the sloping roof/head clearance and overall size means that it's not really suitable, but I really like the feeling of space it gives.

By wanting a Hexagon, I would need it to be small enough to fit within rooms, but also be large enough for it to be 'worthwhile'.
Calculator for Hexagon size:
http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/geometry-plane/polygon.php
or http://rechneronline.de/pi/hexagon.php
a = 1.7320508075689 m
r = 1.5 m
R = 1.7320508075689 m
A = 7.7942286340599 m2
P = 10.392304845413 m
x = 120°
y = 60°
So this means that the Hexagon would have to be 3.46m long if it was 2.5m wide, which no one seems to make.
I wonder if the mechanics would be too small to work? - would it be too mechanics for it to pack together?
I've emailed a British manufacturer of gazebos, so will see if they get back in touch.
Otherwise, it is back to the original plan of a small square pop-up gazebo...
There are so many around, but I specifically want a small - 2.4m x 2.4m tent, white or beige with full walls. Here are a few like that...
Airwave 2.5 x 2.5m Pop Up Gazebo
£72.99
This comes in beige and white.
The fabric in not great though - only 190g PU, so wouldn't be very strong or easy to work with.
http://www.surfturf.co.uk/protex_two_2mx2m.htm
This one is even smaller at 2 x 2m. The fabric doesn't look the best, and quite expensive compared to other gazebos. But it could be worth knowing that there is one even smaller!
The winner....
With Sides - £199.95
http://stores.ebay.com/eurmax?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 - US (some better pics)
This is the better quality fabric - 400 Denier Polyester Fabric, it comes in white (or a few funky colours like turquoise or yellow) and is small at 8 x 8ft.
The walls are also a good quality fabric and are solid, so I can cut where I want etc.!
I will have to test for fraying thoough first...
It is a shame that I can't get a hexagonal one; purely for the external aesthetics and it being easier to segment and section the work off into small sides.
I would be worried that the surface (or floor) area of a hexagon would be too small and would loose the size within to get people in together.
I think though, with a bit of work within the corners with pop-up techniques and roller blinds perhaps I can make the space feel more rounded inside.
