From this assignment I have learnt that creative engagement and pedagogy comes in many various forms and approaches. Through exhibitions, sessions and projects, public workshops and events there are many ways in which to connect with an audience or participants.
It can be different groups require different ways of interacting in order for them to fully engage with the flow (Csikszentmihalyi, 1990) of a space and gain the most benefit.
This process has been two way and it has been these engaging activities are what have also engaged me – learning and developing existing and new skill sets. From exploring news ways of working and connecting the similarities with other professions to curating and co-ordinating different events and groups. I have learnt a great deal from these projects and work and continue to bring all the different areas together; sharing good practice with others and continuing to enrich this holistic approach.
In the near future I am hoping to continue with this development through more public art events, particularly for the Jubilee and Olympic Torch.
I have really enjoyed this overall experience of putting this work together to create this electic jigsaw. Through other evaluations as well that I have had to do for QTLS, I have be fully exploring all my existing knowledge and skill sets.
Plus, there is a chance to play a game and interact with the work! Hope you have enjoyed the journey!
