Conclusion

I feel as though I have merely scratched the surface with this rather overarching approach to community arts. Through the experience of co-ordinating the user-led exhibition I feel as though I have developed all seven areas of my own understanding and methodology.

This approach has become a useful to for me to consider lots of different areas and spheres of my work. I can assess and determine which areas need development and what I need to focus on. My ‘cube’ has to be balanced and each side considered within an exhibition or a project, as all sides are always relevant. Every piece of artwork has an audience for example, regardless or not if it is a gallery space.

Through reducing and refining my thoughts and ideas into their ‘purest’ forms has enabled me to aid and develop my practice.

In the future I would like to develop this further and hope to perhaps wider the scope of this person-centred approach and perhaps reduce further the points within each area.
