Theatre on the Fly by Assemble

A pop up, cheap, flexible and dispensible space for drama and events. A really simple, but so effective design. When I saw the inital tagline I thought about the health and safety and how difficult it could have been to make this a reality!

In the photographs the space is beautiful - the pond lining seems to make it glow in the dark with all the bright lights inside. I'm not sure what is looks like in real life and whether the weather alters the overall effect.

But the underlying idea that the arts are so important and the need for it to be seen that a temporary space could built. I'd like to see a flat-pack on wheel version - a literal touring show!
